Six teams prequalified for Haifa-Nazareth light rail PPP in Izrael

Trans Israel has announced that six consortia have been prequalified for the Haifa-Nazareth light rail PPP project in the north of Israel. The six teams are following:

  1. Dan Bus (Israel), CREC (China), Pesa (Poland), Shenyang (China) and ATM (Italy);
  2. Shapir (Israel), CAF (Spain), Keren Noy (Israel);
  3. Minrav (Israel), Electra (Israel), Alstom (France), Allied (Israel);
  4. Comsa (Spain), Globalvia (Spain), Transmashholding (Russia);
  5. Meir (Israel), Afcon (Israel), CRRC (China);
  6. Stadler (Switzerland), HITACHI (Japan), Downer (Australia).

These consortia are allowed to participate in the tender for the finance, plan, construction and operation of the light rail between Haifa and Nazareth. The 41 km-long project will include 20 stations and combine urban and inter-urban public transportation. Estimated at ILS3-4 billion (US$923.7-1,231 million), the tender is expected to be published soon.
