Six candidates expressed interest on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013, for the first phase of the international public tender for the selection of the private partner who will undertake the implementation of waste management facilities in Achaia, via a PPP.

The candidates expressed interest as follows:

1. ARCHIRODON GROUP NV - INTRAKAT - ENVITEC
2. ERETVO - DOMOSPORT - EGNON
3. J&P AVAX - ÎœESOGEIOS
4. ΜΕΤΚΑ - CH. D. KONSTANDINIDIS
5. AKTOR CONCESSIONS - HELEKTOR
6. TOXOTIS

The private partner will be selected through an international public tender under the competitive dialogue process and will undertake the design, financing, construction, maintenance, technical management and operation of the waste treatment facilities, with an annual capacity of 150.000 tons of solid municipal waste and for a period estimated at 27 years. The tender process allows all available technologies that cover the environmental targets, European and Greek legislation. The projects will be co-financed by the European Union's structural funds together with the private funds.
