Six bidders compete for O&M of Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital

The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has proceeded with the opening and verification of envelope No. 1 of six bidders interested in the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) project of the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital (HEVES) in Peru.

The envelopes were presented by the companies Promotora y Desarrolladora Mexicana de Infraestructura SA de CV, Concessionaire of Infrastructure Projects Branch Peru, Ortiz Construcciones y Proyectos SA Branch Peru, IBT Health LLC, Ibérica de Mantenimiento SA Branch Peru and Equans Services Peru SA. In Envelope No. 1, companies demonstrated international experience in the operation of general hospital services (Gray Coat), such as food, laundry, cleaning, security and comprehensive surveillance, maintenance of the building, facilities, electromechanical equipment and provision and timely replacement of clinical and non-clinical equipment.

The O&M project for the HEVES will be awarded for 16 years through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract that is subject to approval by the MINSA and subsequently the opinion of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Comptroller General of the Republic. More than 780, 000 inhabitants of the southern area of ​​Lima (Villa El Salvador, Lurín, Pachacamac, Pucusana and 5 other resorts) will benefit from improvements in infrastructure, equipment and maintenance of the hospital, whose free health services will continue to be provided.
