The Ministry of Finance of Singapore and the Government of Indonesia have joined hands to develop an International Container terminal in Central Java, Indonesia.
The terminal, located at Kendal industrial park, will have a carrying capacity of 400,000 TEUs. It will be expanded to 1.5 million TEUs gradually according to the demand. Once completed, it will be the second international-standard port in Central Java.
Currently, feasibility studies for the project are being carried out by companies based in Singapore, while Indonesia will work on the project proposal.
