Singapore American School (SAS) announced an SGD 400 million (US$ 300 million) campus upgrade project that reimagines the role of classrooms and buildings in the learning journey and will provide learning opportunities for students and teachers. Located in 36-acre land, the project will involve the design and construction of a new campus, capturing more space for learning, play and activity space, and new programs.
The school has partnered with Fielding International to design the new campus and with China Construction Development Co. for construction. The project will be completed in three phases, with phase one beginning on May 29 and the entire project scheduled for completion by fall 2026.
The project envisions six key design themes based on flexibility, functionality, scale, modularity, smartness and sustainability.
