Seven candidates expressed interest on May 28th, 2013, for the first phase of the international public tender for the selection of the private partner who will undertake the implementation of waste management facilities in Epirus, via a PPP.

The candidates in the Expressions of Interest are presented as follows:

3. ERETVO - DOMOSPORT - EGNON
4. AKTOR CONCESSIONS - HELEKTOR
5. ARCHIRODON GROUP NV - INTRAKAT - ENVITEC
6. TOXOTIS
7. ÎœESOGEIOS - J&P AVAX

The private partner will be selected through an international public tender via a competitive dialogue procedure and will undertake the design, construction, financing, maintenance and operation of the waste management facility for a period of 27 years.

The relevant infrastructure will have the capacity to manage about 150 thousand tons of waste annually, which includes all municipal solid waste generated throughout the administrative area of the Epirus Region.
