The city of Serrana, located in São Paulo (Brazil), has launched a tender process to select a qualified firm to be responsible for the provision of water supply and sewage services in the city.
Serrana has 43,000 inhabitants and is located near Ribeirão Preto. The concession project was object of two public consultation in 2015 and 2016, and the feasibility studies works were awarded via Expression of Interest in 2011.
The first attempt to tender in 2015, was canceled by the São Paulo State Court of Auditors, which required the review of the basis of the concession contract, as well as the economic and financial studies for the project.
The concession period stands at 30 years and the estimated investment is BRL45,431,385 (US$14.8 million).
Interested parties must submit proposals on or before November 7.
