The Government of Senegal and Eiffage, the operator of the Autoroute de l’Avenir, have signed an amendment to the concession contract of the project.

The amendment includes the acquisition of a 25% stake in the road by the Senegal Government. Autoroute de l’Avenir is a 42 km long highway, which connects Dakar’s city center to Blaise Diagne International Airport.

Apart from the transfer of the 25% stake, the amendment also adjusted the fee for the use of this public property, froze toll price thresholds until December 31, 2025, modified the profit-sharing clauses, instructed the concession holder to make additional investments in order to maintain the current level of service, and extended the length of the concession by 5 years bringing it to 2044.
