The Madinah Regional Development Authority plans to launch a procurement process for Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) network in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The 52 km long BRT network will feature two main lines with 33 high-quality parking stations. The first lane will be 36 km long with 22 stations connecting Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport station to the station west of Madinah. The second lane will be 16 km long with 11 stations running from Sayed Al-Shuhada Square station to the Miqat Mosque.
The project is expected to be operational within 3 years.
