The Water & Electricity Company (WEC) of Saudi Arabia has announced the appointment of an international advisory consortium for the Jubail (Phase-3) Independent Water Projects (IWP).
The company had received ten bids for the Transaction Advisory Services, of which three were shortlisted:
The two desalination projects will be developed in Jubail, the eastern province in the Persian Golf Coast of Saudi Arabia. The Jubail 3A project will have a potable water capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per day while the Jubail 3B plant will have a capacity of 570,000 cubic meters per day.
WEC is advised by Synergy Consulting (Financial and Lead Advisor), DLA Piper Middle East LLP (Legal Adviser) and Atkins (Technical Adviser).
