The Government of Sao Paulo decided to cancel Metro Line 18-Bronze PPP project. In its place, a BRT bus corridor will be built that will practically follow the same monorail route, except for the stretch that would be on Avenida Faria Lima. This is the first time in the history of the state of Sao Paulo that a subway line is canceled and replaced by buses after being tendered and contracted.
