General Santos City Government in the Philippines is seeking private sector participation for landfill complex project. The Project involves the operation and maintenance of the 63.3-hectare General Santos City Sanitary Landfill (SLF) and the establishment and implementation of a waste conversion program. It aims to extend the life of the General Santos City SLF and improve its capacity.
The city is currently working on a joint venture agreement with private sector company for the management of SLF in Barangay Sinawal. East Asia Sheng Tai, a consortium composed of the East Asia Solutions Technology Corporation, Sheng Tai Energy Technology Company, and Dr. Lin Shing-Chou; has already submitted an unsolicited proposal for the operation and management of the SLF complex.
