MOL Group has reached an agreement with OMV to acquire OMV’s 92.25% stake in OMV Slovenija.
The deal involves the acquisition of 120 service stations in Slovenia as part of MOL Group's expansion strategy. MOL Group currently operates 1941 service stations across 9 countries, spanning multiple brands. This includes 466 in Hungary, 434 in Croatia, 304 in the Czech Republic, 254 in Slovakia, 243 in Romania, 106 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 70 in Serbia, 53 in Slovenia, and 11 in Montenegro. MOL entered the Slovenian market in 1996 and now operates 53 service stations, including those acquired from TUŠ and Agip.
The initial purchase price received at closing amounts to EUR311 million (US$339 million) for the 92.25% OMV stake to be adjusted for the actual net working capital and net financial debt at closing.
