Sacyr wins multimillion highway concession in Rio Grande do Sul
Sacyr Concessions has been awarded the RSC-287 Highway concession in the state of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). The multinational will widen 204 km of the roadway to improve communication in the Tabaí and Santa María regions.
The project includes the operation, upkeep, maintenance, improvements and expansion of the infrastructure from the RSC-287 Highway, between Tabaí at the BRS-386 junction (km 28.03), and Santa María at the ERS-509 junction (km 232.54), totaling 204.51 km in length.
The concession term is 30 years and the project’s required investment is around US$520 million.
The project is part of the the "RS Parcerias" P3 program with the aim to stimulate concessions and PPP projects in the state. The first four projects presented as part of the program comprised the concession of the RSC-287 and ERS-324 highways, the Porto Alegre Bus Station and the Sapucaia do Sul Zoo, which amounts investments of BRL3.4 billion (US$857 million) in the next 30 years.

Brazil to launch USD1.4bn highway concession
The Ministry of Economy of Brazil has announced that BR-381/262/MG/ES highway megaproject was filed at the Federal Audit Court (TCU). The publication of the bidding notice is scheduled for the last quarter of 2020 and the auction should take place in the first quarter of 2021.

CCR Group signs BRL7bn road concession in Brazil
The CCR Group, through the company it controls CCR Via Costeira, and the State of Santa Catarina in Brazil have signed BR-101/SC road concession. Over the next 30 years, the project will require investments of approximately BRL 7 billion (USD 1.3 billion) in highway maintenance, operation, and monitoring.
