Sacyr to sell Spanish hospital concessions

According to Spanish newspaper Cinco Dias, Sacyr Concesiones is in conversations with financial investors to sell minority stakes in two of its hospital concessions in Madrid, Henares hospital and Infanta Cristina hospital.

The source mentions Lloyds Bank as the investor being more advanced in the deal although it says that Sacyr Concesiones is talking to other infrastructure funds as well.

Sacyr Concesiones would be interested in selling 49 % of the concession to keep control in the management of the concession contracts.

Infanta Cristina hospital was awarded in May 2005 and it required an investment of €84 million. In 2012, it gave Sacyr Concesiones revenues of €13.9 millon and the hospital book value was €15 million.

Henares hospital was awarded in June 2005 and the required investment was €93.4 million. In 2012, it gave Sacyr Concesiones revenues of €13.5 millon and the hospital book value was €13 million
