Sacyr Concesiones has announced the financial close of US$420 million for the development of the Ruta 66 Camino de La Fruta PPP project in Chile.
The project consists of construction, expansion and improvement works of the 142-km road. The estimated investment in the project is US$560 million. The road concession is managed by Sociedad Concesionaria Ruta de la Fruta for a term of 45 years.
The financial close was led and structured by Banco del Estado de Chile and Banco de Crédito e Inversiones. The funds will be used for the construction and improvement works of the current road, which began in September 2021. The project will benefit the inhabitants of the districts that the road crosses and will help to generate fluid traffic for trucks traveling to the Port of San Antonio.
