RTDA extends deadline for road upgrade in Rwanda

The Rwanda Transport Development Agency (RTDA) and the Ministry of Infrastructure (MININFRA) have extended the deadline for the upgrade works for the Nyacyonga-Mukoto Road Section in Rwanda. 

The project is funded by Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa and the OPEC Fund for International development. The successful bidder will be responsible for the expansion of the 36 km section of the Nyacyonga-Mukoto Road for 36 calendar months, including 18 additional months for the Defect Liability Period. The expansion includes the widening of the carriageway to 7.4 m with 1.5 m shoulders on both sides and adding 1.5 m of bicycle lanes. Additionally, the works include road furnishings, markings, signage and lighting to enhance driving safety.
