RSK Group has finished the acquisition of 1stinrail, an engineering business that delivers planned and reactive track repairs, renewals and installation services.
The acquisition adviser for the deal was Cortus Advisory Group. Financial details of the deal between the companies were not disclosed. The acquisition of 1stinrail by the RSK Group is a step forward in RSK's original vision to become one of the UK's leading contractors. The transaction will allow 1stinrail to strengthen the company's current capabilities and become part of the RSK group of companies and personnel with experience and capabilities in sectors such as engineering and engineering, environmental management, exploration and repair, transportation planning, civil engineering and construction works. 1stinrail will expand its range of qualified and value-added services to customers in the broader rail sector.
1stinrail specializes in Permanent Way Engineering for all track types, from feasibility through to commissioning, and for all forms of the track. The company provides 24/7 planned and reactive rail works throughout the UK. Working from its sites in East London and South Yorkshire, the company's mobile teams are able to take on projects across the UK.
