The government of Romania is planning to develop a 505km high-speed railway from Ploieşti to Siret through a public-private partnership (PPP).
The railway will be constructed parallel to existing tracks and travel through Buzau, Focsani, Bacau, Pascani, Iasi and Suceava. The project is envisioned to connect all of the major cities in the country, with potential to also connect to Moldova and Ukraine.
