The Government of Romania has announced that it would set aside EUR1.2 billion (US$1.34 billion) funding for the development of a 68-km motorway project linking the town of Târgu Neamţ to the city of Iaşi in North-Eastern Romania under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.
The feasibility study of the project will be financed by the Government. It is expected that the construction of the motorway would be completed in 48 months.
The bidding for the private partner is expected to be done by April 2019.
