Roadis has reached an agreement for the acquisition of the remaining 50% stake from an affiliate of Mota-Engil for the management of the Perote Xalapa Toll Road (COPEXA), responsible for the operation, preservation, and maintenance of the Perote-Banderilla motorway and the Xalapa Bypass in the state of Veracruz, Mexico.
With this agreement, subject to approval by regulatory authorities, Roadis will consolidate a 100% stake in COPEXA, used by nearly 5,500 vehicles daily. This road provides a safe route for tourists and the transport of goods between the center of the country and the port of Veracruz. The concession also includes the Xalapa belt road, which frees the city from heavy traffic, reducing vehicle operation and maintenance costs, trip lengths, and polluting emissions.
