Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC (OPWP) has published a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the development of two desalination plants in the Al Batinah region of the country, located in the north.
OPWP is planning to procure two new capacities (100,000 and 150,000 m3/day) which will be located in Barka and North Al Batinah respectively. The plants are to be developed as independent water projects (IWPs) by private sector investors.
The RfQ is available for purchase from the offices of OPWP in Muscat until 16 August 2018. The bid submission deadline is 16 September 2018.
