RFQ launched for feasibility study of Aerial gondola PPP

Tampa Bay Area Regional Transit Authority (TBARTA) has launched a request for qualifications seeking qualified planning and engineering firm to conduct the Pinellas Aerial Gondola Feasibility Study. This study will examine two potential corridors/routes in the cities of St. Petersburg and Clearwater.

The final report will include data and information on the following areas:

  • A purpose and need statement for each gondola project
  • A Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats (SWOT) analysis of each corridor or study area
  • Recommended route alignments including the size, number, and locations of stations and maintenance areas
  • Description of anticipated ROW or easement requirements
  • Estimated capital, operating, and maintenance costs
  • Ridership analysis and traffic impact analysis
  • Recommended fare structure and revenue projections
  • Project delivery and financing options
