Eastern Michigan University in the USA has launched a request for qualifications (RFQ) seeking master developer for the delivery of physical assets and operations to best meet the needs of future students, faculty, and staff. The developer will initially focus on student housing. Future phases of the project may include but are not limited to, athletic, academic, utility, and commercial spaces to best meet the needs of future students, faculty, and staff.
In the first phase, the authority will engage a Developer to design and build several new construction and renovation projects within the University’s on-campus housing system. Several demolition projects will be required as part of this project as the University pursues a comprehensive implementation effort to realign its housing inventory to meet future student demand. The project also includes the operation and maintenance of all on-campus beds both during and following the completion of projects.
