RFQ launched for De Aar Logistics Hub PPP project in South Africa

The Northern Cape Department of Transport, Safety and Liaison (NCDTSL) have launched a Request for Qualification (RFQ) to optimize the De Aar Logistics Hub in Northern Cape, South Africa.

The Project entails constructing an inland intermodal system comprising: Container Terminal, Vehicle parking Terminal, and Warehouse/Cold room Terminal to optimize the freight strategy and logistic functions of the province. 

Through this project, NCDTSL aims to address:

  • Economic & Infrastructure Development;
  • Creating jobs and therefore contributing positively to the livelihoods of the people of the province;
  • Transforming the spatial reality;
  • Improving education and training; and
  • Addressing the social ills of the province.
