The Régie des installations olympiques (RIO) has launched the request for qualifications (RFQ) for the new development at Montreal Olympic Stadium. The project includes the design, construction, financing and maintenance of the new roof of the Montreal Olympic Stadium located in city of Montreal, Quebec. The roof should have a light structure that can be supported by the Stadium and the Tower, while respecting the architectural value of the Olympic Stadium. The new roof to be provided should have reliable and robust cover to prevent tears, as is the case with the current roof. The new roof should let in the natural light.

The qualification call is a preliminary, necessary and mandatory step, as required by the Directive on the Management of Major Public Infrastructure Projects, for any alternative project. With the launch of this qualification call, the RIO is continuing the work entrusted to it by the Quebec government to replace the roof of the Olympic Stadium, which is at the end of its useful life.

The deadline to submit the qualification is January 19, 2020.
