The Canadian government has issued the Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) for a High-Frequency Rail (HFR) project between Québec City - Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
The scope of work involves the context and features of the HFR project, evaluation criteria, candidate security requirements, funding support and cost-effectiveness.
HFR will transform intercity passenger rail corridor in a variety of ways, including:
- providing more frequent services;
- Offering more reliable and improved on-time performance;
- Shortening journey times;
- adding new services to Peterborough and Trois-Rivières; and
- Providing a greener rail system travel option using electrified technology.
