Appalachian State University (App State) has issued a Request for Qualification (RFQ) seeking a response from private partners to DBFOM student housing and additional facilities on its campus in North Carolina, USA.
The university aims to enhance the housing experience for both on-campus and off-campus living at App State. This involves expanding the university's on-campus and off-campus housing options. The goal is to meet the strong demand from first-year students and upper-division students who want to live on campus in an environment that supports their academic and personal growth. Additionally, the project is intended to cater to the needs of upper-division students seeking high-quality and affordable apartments with more privacy off-campus. The project's objective is to foster a vibrant and unified residential community across multiple buildings.
The initial phase of the project is expected to include around 1,850 beds, which will be designed and constructed by the developer on university-owned land. Furthermore, the university is considering additional phases of student housing, depending on the demand for more beds, both on and off-campus, either as additions or replacements.
The deadline for RFQ submission is October 9, 2023. More information about this tender can be found on our Business Opportunity page here.
