The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan has launched the Request for Qualification (RFQ) stage of a tender to select independent power producers for the development of three solar PV plants in Uzbekistan.
The projects will be implemented on the develop, finance, construct, own and operate (DBFO) PPP model. The project is being conducted in consultation with International Finance Corporation. Three projects will be located on lots in Namangan, Bukhara and Khorezm regions with a total summed capacity of up to 500 MW. Bukhara PV solar plant will integrate a battery energy storage system with a 63 MW capacity.
