The Trust has announced it is seeking a private sector partner to provide services in connection with the refurbishment and ongoing maintenance of the Sterile Services Department (SSD) at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

The private sector partner is expected to:

• Finance, design and build refurbishment works to the SSD building.
• Provide hard and soft FM services for the SSD.
• Provide a Managed Equipment Services for certain equipment in the SSD.
• Provide a facility to install certain additional equipment in the SSD and provide a Managed Equipment Service for this additional equipment.
• Provide a facility for the Trust to lease vehicles for the transport of items to and from the SSD.
• Provide a Helpdesk Service to allow the Trust to report problems and request services.

These services will be provided to a standard to allow the Trust to seek future MHRA accreditation for the SSD, if it decides to do so.

The deadline for the submission of the proposal is January 22, 2018.  The preferred bidder will be selected to start the concession on March 01, 2018 for a period of 15 years, ending on February 28, 2033.
