Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has announced that the request for proposals (RFP) process is closed for prequalified teams to submit their plans to deliver the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) Redevelopment public-private partnership (PPP) project in Canada.
The RFP process that began in late January 2022 has resulted in three prequalified company teams: PCL Northern Health Care, Pomerleau Healthcare Partners and The Bird Team. IO and WAHA will evaluate the RFP submissions and select a development partner to proceed to the Development Phase of the project.
The WAHA Redevelopment project will involve both a Development Phase Agreement and a design, build, finance PPP Project Agreement. The development partner is expected to be announced in Q4 2022, while the construction is planned to start in 2024.
