Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has closed a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Trillium Health Partners (THP) long-term redevelopment project, which includes the Peter Gilgun Hospital in Mississauga, Canada.

The RFP was closed following a proposal submission by EllisDon and PCL Health Care Partners by September 30, 2022. IO and THP will evaluate the submitted RFP over the next few months and, if approved, sign a development phase agreement in early 2023. Once the agreement is signed, the partner will have to work on defining and refining project requirements, design, pricing and risk parameters. The partner will enter into a fixed price project agreement with THP to design, build, finance and service the project in 2024.

The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital PPP project involves the construction of a new and expanded emergency department, the addition of a surgical platform equipped with new technologies, surgical operating rooms with specialized equipment and advanced imaging systems, a new pharmacy and clinical laboratory and a new parking structure.
