Infrastructure Ontario in Canada has issued two requests for proposals seeking technical advisory services for Eglinton Crosstown West subway Extension, Scarborough subway extension and Yonge North Subway Extension in Greater Toronto Area.

Eglinton Crosstown West Extension rapid transit line will extend the Eglinton Crosstown Line further west from Mount Dennis to the eastern end of the Mississauga Transitway at Renforth Gate and with possible extension to Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Scarborough subway extension will involve a 7.8-kilometer extension of Line 2 from Kennedy Station to McCowan Road/Sheppard Avenue. The Scarborough Subway Extension will reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools and other destinations. The three-stop extension will provide seamless travel for Scarborough residents heading into and out of the city with proposed stops at Lawrence East, Scarborough Town Centre, and McCowan Road/Sheppard Avenue. The Scarborough subway extension will replace the existing Scarborough Rapid Transit line and is an extension of the existing line 2 to Scarborough Centre.

Yonge North Subway Extension will extend 7.4 kilometers north from TTC’s existing line 1 from Finch Station through the York Region (including City of Markham, the City of Vaughan and the City of Richmond Hill). This critical rapid transit link will include up to 6 stations at Cummer/Drewry, Steeles, Clark, Royal Orchard [to be confirmed with preliminary engineering], Langstaff/Longbridge and Richmond Hill Centre. Intermodal terminals will be located at Steeles Station and at Richmond Hill Centre Station, and 2,000 commuter parking spaces will be near Langstaff/Longbridge Station.

The technical advisers will provide services that involve reviewing, evaluating and challenging current information and approaches to foster greater efficiency, innovation, and improvements to project delivery among other scopes of works.

Infrastructure Ontario has launched one RFP seeking a technical advisor for Eglinton Crosstown West Extension project; and second RFP seeking technical advisor for Scarborough subway extension and Yonge North Subway Extension project.

The deadline to submit a response to both RFPs is February 03, 2020.
