The Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (KSIDC) in India has launched a request for proposal (RFP) seeking a private partner for integrated solid waste management with waste to energy (WtE) plant in Brahmapuram, Ernakulam District. The project will be procured on the design, build, finance, operate, and transfer (DBFOT) model.
The plant will have a minimum processing capacity of 300 Tonnes Per Day (TPD) and a production capacity of 5MW which will be supplied to Ernakulam Cluster. Ernakulam Cluster involves municipalities of Kochi, Thrikkakara, Thripunithura, Kalamassery, Eloor, Maradu, Aluva, Perumbavoor, Angamaly, North Paravur, Muvattupuzha, Kothamangalam, Piravom, and Koothattukulam.
The concession period for the project is 25 years.
