San Jose Evergreen Community College District in California, USA has launched a request for proposal (RFP) seeking a private partner to develop solar energy infrastructure at San Jose City College campus. The concessionaire will be responsible for finance, design, permit, build, commission, own and operate, and maintenance of the infrastructure.
The project includes the development of solar photovoltaic panel systems as solar carport canopies over existing parking lots and roof-mounted solar panels on the new Career Education Building, which will be connected to a common energy management system. The works also involve the construction of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations to be installed at select campus parking lots and bid alternate for additional EV charging stations.
