The City of Fishers in Indiana, USA has launched a request for proposal and qualifications (RFPQ) seeking a private partner to develop a recreational complex for the city. The design, build, finance, and transfer procurement model is being implemented for the selection of the private partner.
The project involves the development of a complex at a site having an area between 10 to 15 acres with amenities such as indoor swimming, including lap swimming with the possibility of an outdoor pool area; indoor playground with potential water concepts; indoor walking/track; gymnasium facilities (transitional space that includes courts and fields or partial fields); weight and training facilities; class and gathering spaces; small café/restaurant space; and activated outdoor areas and green space, including outdoor porches for the classroom space.
The estimated investment value for the complex is US$40 million, out of which the authority will finance US$18 million for the construction of the building.
