The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) has launched a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development of a transit center on Dorrance Street in Rhode Island, USA.
The transit centre aims to modernise Rhode Island’s transportation system, improve rider's experience, lessen the impact on the environment and create a more functional downtown. The scope of work includes a central bus depot, temperature-controlled passenger arrival and seating area and accommodations for bicyclists. The transit center will replace Kennedy Plaza as the state's central bus depot. The project also envisions mixed-use development including an intermodal transit center and RIPTA administrative offices, and an adjacent mixed-use transit-oriented development (TOD).
The last date to submit the responses is April 17, 2023. More information about this RFP could be found on our Business Opportunity page here.
