Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) in the USA has launched a request for proposals seeking a private partner for development of Community-Based Green Infrastructure (CBGI) for Milwaukee municipality, Wisconsin. The project will be procured on design, build, finance and maintenance mode. The scope of works involves building a minimum of 20 million gallons of green infrastructure-based stormwater capture capacity within three years.
With this project, the authority expects a reduction of capture costs below its current cost of US$ 1.76 per gallon, and to engage at least 25% small and veterans, women, and minority-owned businesses. The private partner will be chosen based on a four-phase evaluation from the authority.
