The Ministry of Energy and JSC National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan launched the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage of a tender to select independent power producers to develop the 300 MW Solar power plant PPP project in Guzar. 

The selected developer will be responsible for the development of a 300 MW capacity solar power plant in Guzar, Qashqadaryo. Among the shortlisted bidders are the following:

• Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar (UAE);
• ACWA Power Company;
• The consortium of China Huadian Engineering Co. Ltd. & Universal Energy Co. Ltd.;
• Concord New Energy Group Limited;
• The consortium of GD Power Development Co. Ltd. & PowerChina International Group Limited;
• Jinko Power (HK) Company Limited;
• The consortium of ReNew Solar Power Private Limited & Ajlan & Bros Energy Company;
• The consortium of VPE Fund I LP, Helios Mech Pte. Ltd. & LLC Solar System.
