Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Niagara Health have issued a request for proposals (RFP) to three prequalified teams for the development of the South Niagara Hospital PPP project in Canada.
The selected team will design, build, finance and maintain the hospital, located at the intersection of Biggar Road and Montrose Road in Niagara Falls. The new South Niagara Hospital project will centralize services from existing facilities, with a special focus on senior patients. The health complex will include 24/7 Emergency department, diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical services as well as medical, surgical and intensive care inpatient Beds, in addition to Ambulatory Services, Centres of Excellence and others.
The three prequalified teams are EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare (EDIH), Niagara Care Partners and Plenary PCL Niagara Health. They will begin preparing proposals covering the project delivery. IO and Niagara Health will evaluate the proposals, select a preferred team and then negotiate a final contract. The announcement of a successful bidder is expected in fall 2022.
