RFP issued inviting PPP consultant for Maryland county school project

'Prince Georges County Public Schools' has issued a Request for proposals (RFP) inviting consultants for to advise Prince George’s County for the development of schools under the P3 model. Prince George’s County is a county in the U.S. state of Maryland, bordering the eastern portion of Washington, D.C. 

The public education needs in Maryland county is managed by 'The Board Of Education of Prince George’s County'. Currently, the board has 132,322 students and 19,000 employees. The board is exploring PPP options for construction and replacement of public school and develop necessary facilities.

The advisers are needed for the services of strategic and financial planning, project vetting, partner selection and other matters related to the formulation and execution of P3 projects or other alternative school construction financing transaction. The board requires specialized assistance in reviewing, comparing and analyzing the feasibility of the proposed PPP models.

The respondents are expected to have knowledge of legal, financial and construction-related issues surrounding the execution of a P3 project.
