RFP Issued for Development of Wind Independent Power Projects in Oman

The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC (OPWP) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development of Wind Independent Power Projects (IPP) in Oman.

The project involves 3 Wind Projects Duqm Wind IPP, Jaalan Bani Bu Ali Wind IPP and Harweel Wind IPP. It aims to diversify fuel sources through clean energy for power generation. The target Schedule Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) for Duqm Wind IPP and Jaalan Bani Bu Ali Wind IPP is by Q2 2026 and Harweel Wind IPP by Q4 2026.
