Ministry of Shipping, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh issued request for proposals (RFP) for the development of coal-bulk terminal of Payra Port project. Located in southern Bangladesh payra port is small seaport on Ramnabad Channel near the Bay of Bengal. The authority is seeking for private developers to fulfil the requirements of the project. The contract will be awarded on basis of competitive bidding process.
The project includes the development of a bulk facility with an approximate of 2000 meter jetty that would need to be constructed with other ancillary port facilities including a shipyard. The terminal has to be constructed considering the seagoing vessel of at least 10-meter draft. The deadline to submit the responses is 22th April 2019.
