The Jefferson Parkway Public Highway Authority (JPPHA), an entity of the state government of Colorado, is expected to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Jefferson Parkway P3 project in March.
The project involves the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of a 9.2-mile (14.8km) four-lane limited access tolled highway in the Denver metropolitan area of Colorado, located in the western USA. The highway, known as the Jefferson Parkway, will complete the metro Denver beltway and be equipped with intelligent transportation systems (ITS) infrastructure.
The RFP will be issued to the following pre-qualified teams:
The RFP will invite the teams to submit detailed engineering and construction plans, as well as how they would finance the project. Proposals will be due in late October 2019. One preferred team will be identified and they will negotiate a long-term agreement to build and operate the highway with JPPHA.
