The Santa Clara Valley Water District has delayed issuing an RFP to shortlisted bidders for its Expedited Purified Water Program in California, USA.
The water treatment plant will be developed under a public-private partnership (PPP/P3) scheme. The project is expected to provide up to 45,000 acre-feet per year (AFY) of purified water for indirect and/or direct potable reuse to supplement groundwater recharge from other existing sources, such as imported and locally-stored water supply.
The first phase of program implementation will be an up to 24,000 acre-feet per year (AFY) expansion of the SVAWPC with a conveyance pipeline and indirect potable reuse via the Los Gatos Recharge Ponds.
