Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech) in the USA has extended the deadline for a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking a broadband network operator to operate, manage, market, maintain and extend the 1,200-mile MassBroadband 123 Network.

The MassTech Network is a state-owned, open-access, carrier-grade, middle-mile telecommunications network that became operational in early 2014. The network aims to provide a high standard of service delivery, and continue to evolve the product and service offerings to meet the needs of the region; providing affordable broadband access to end-users; utilizing the MassTech Network to serve as an engine for economic growth; maintaining broadband support to critical entities such as emergency services, healthcare, education, commerce, municipal fiber networks, and government services; and promoting MassTech Network expansion, including middle mile and last mile builds.

The new deadline to submit the proposal is October 11, 2022. For more information about this RFP, visit our business opportunities page here.
