Infrastructure Ontario has closed the submission of the request for proposals (RFP) stage for teams to bid in the design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Hurontario Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.

Following a fair, open and transparent request for qualifications process, three teams were shortlisted and invited to respond to a request for proposals in August 2017. Two teams - Mobilinx and Trillium Transit Partners - have submitted their proposals for the project.

Over the next several months, submissions will be evaluated and a successful bidder is expected to be announced in early fall 2019. A fairness monitor is observing the entire procurement process.
