The government of Queensland and Powerlink in Australia has launched a request for information (RFI) seeking an adviser for Borumba Pumped Hydro Energy Storage (PHES) project. The adviser will provide Front End Engineering Design (FEED), detailed project analysis, and a detailed analytical report including engineering and design, hydrological modeling, geological testing, and assessment of environmental impacts.
PHSE is an integrated energy and water security brownfield development encompassing the existing Borumba Dam as a lower reservoir located approximately 50 km south of Gympie. The system will have a storage capacity of 1GW/24 hours.
