The World Bank Group has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking a technical consultant for the Cameroon railway concession. The project involves works of rehabilitating the railway infrastructure between Douala and Yaounde and to contribute to increased efficiency of the Cameroon railway and of the rail/road connection therefore to the improved performance of the rail/road regional corridors.
The consultant will be responsible to assess the performance of the current concession agreement between the GoC and Camrail; provide recommendations on the new institutional framework and the role of the Societe the patrimoine and propose different PPP options against this backdrop and in view of the extension of the network, including the proposed connection between Edea and the port of Kribi.
