The Government of Finland through Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency has issued a request for information for Hailuoto-Oulu causeway project.
The authority invites for service providers to participate in a public briefing on the project in Helsinki on October 10, 2019 from 11:30 to 18:00, followed by a confidential electronic questionnaire and possible bilateral market dialogues. The service provider interested in the project may participate in the electronic questionnaire and in any bilateral market dialogues, even if they do not attend the information meeting. Participation in events and surveys does not bind anyone involved.
The project involves the design, construction, financing and maintenance of an 8.4 km causeway between Huikku, Hailuoto, an island in the Gulf of Bothnia, and Riutunkari, Oulu, a city in the Northern Ostrobothnia region of central Finland. The fixed road link would replace the existing ferry connection.
